The first dvd is due for release on Friday the 30th of May 2008. This first dvd is all about the handplane. The first segment will cover the preparation of plane blades, their sharpening and resharpening; how to place a small curve on the blade and the benefits this brings to your handplaning and how to prepare the chipbreaker to enable smooth planing. The second segment will concentrate solely on the setup of your handplane and how, with a couple of hours work, you can achieve an excellent result from a cheap handplane that will match the performance from a far more expensive plane.
